Baltimore was one of the toughest city where race conflicts were on-going. When I was in Baltimore during 2016-2017, a big gun-shooting killed 8 colored-people across the building where I worked. Regarding to race issue, as a person who lived in the USA, it was very difficult to locate myself as an Asian female. On the other hand, The friction between black and white racism always has been so apparent in comparison to that of Asian. When I have found a chessboard, I came up with an idea that the board was checkered with black and white, which made me think of the society of America. I installed plastic figures of the two races on on the floor, expressing the anger of "the others".
